Self-Hosted Sentry Switching to CalVerRemoved
Blog post from Sentry
Sentry has adopted a new versioning scheme called CalVer (Calendar-based Versioning) for its self-hosted releases, moving away from traditional SemVer. This change allows for more predictable and predictable release cadences, with updates shipped on a monthly basis. The new approach aims to reduce the overhead of upgrading and improve collaboration among users. Sentry v20.6.0 introduces several key features, including Discover v2, Sentry Native, and Release Health, as well as numerous performance improvements and bug fixes. With this shift, Sentry seeks to better align its self-hosted releases with its SaaS offering, Sentry.io.
