Introducing Semgrep in Cursor Origin
Blog post from Semgrep
Cursor Origin has introduced a beta integration with Semgrep that automatically scans repositories and pull requests for security issues directly within the existing development and review workflow. The integration provides Semgrep Managed Scans covering first-party code vulnerabilities, risky software dependencies, and exposed credentials, with findings displayed as pull request checks and comments. Organizations can connect repositories through Semgrep’s source-code-manager settings or install the Semgrep app through Cursor Origin’s Codebase Settings, after which repositories remain synchronized without manual scripts or relinking. The collaboration is positioned as a way to give AI-assisted coding agents and development teams immediate security feedback while maintaining development speed, and enterprises requiring separate app identities or signing-key control can arrange a private app setup.
