Semaphore is transitioning to an open-source model by releasing its core CI/CD platform under the Apache 2.0 license, reflecting a shift towards transparency and community collaboration. The platform will be available in three editions: Semaphore Cloud, Semaphore Enterprise Edition, and Semaphore Community Edition, each designed to cater to different user needs while maintaining a clear distinction between open-source and commercial features.
