An upcoming platform update scheduled for June 23, 2015, introduces several significant software version upgrades, including Bundler 1.9.9, Cassandra 2.1.6, Git 2.4.3, io.js 1.8.2 with improved memory usage for TLS, JRuby 1.7.20.1 enhancing compatibility with Ruby 1.9.3, MongoDB 2.6.10, MySQL 5.6.25 addressing InnoDB and other bugs, PHP updates in versions 5.4.42, 5.5.26, and 5.6.10, Redis 3.0.2 resolving a critical security issue, and RethinkDB 2.0.3. Users can evaluate the new platform by selecting Ubuntu 14.04 LTS v1506 (release candidate) in Project Settings, with the opportunity to provide feedback before the final release.
