Introducing Self-Hosted Agents

Semaphore's self-hosted agents offer organizations the ability to build their own CI/CD platforms within their secure environments while maintaining the simplicity of Semaphore's system. These agents grant full control over the hardware, operating system, and software tools used in pipelines, allowing for customized environments and dynamic scaling, particularly when using cloud services like AWS. The agents are designed with security and efficiency in mind, featuring encrypted communications, unidirectional communication from agents to Semaphore, and adherence to the principle of least privilege. Installation is supported across multiple platforms, including Linux, macOS, and soon Windows, with registration and status updates seamlessly integrated into the Semaphore UI. Currently in private beta, Semaphore's self-hosted agents provide a robust solution for teams needing flexible, secure, and efficient CI/CD operations.
