Plan it out with the new calendar plugin
Blog post from Sanity
Sanity Studio has introduced a Content Calendar plugin that enhances its platform by allowing teams to plan, schedule, and visualize their content in a collaborative environment. This tool, which can be installed via npm and configured through a JSON file, enables users to manage their editorial workflow by specifying document types and scheduling publication dates. The plugin transforms the "Publish" action into "Schedule" and "Unschedule" options, providing a calendar view where scheduled posts appear and can be rearranged as priorities shift. If changes are made to scheduled content, the calendar indicates these with a warning, prompting users to reschedule. Developed during an internal hackathon by a team led by Victoria Bergquist, this feature aims to streamline content management for users, and it was inspired by the collaborative spirit and innovation fostered during Sanity's team events.
