Community digest: Custom icons, Portable Text, Gatsby, and Tailwind (#4)
Blog post from Sanity
Since the summer of 2018, the Sanity community on Slack has grown significantly, providing a platform for developers to help each other and share their projects while offering the Sanity team valuable feedback on new features. The community is vibrant, hosting events like a meetup at Heavybit’s clubhouse focused on building voice assistants and customizing the Sanity Studio, which will be recorded and available on YouTube for those unable to attend. Community members like Christian, Eunjae, Kevin Wolf, and Stephen are actively contributing by sharing tutorials and innovative projects, such as customizing icons in the Portable Text editor and creating new Gatsby starters that integrate with other tools like Tailwind CSS and Linaria.js. The Sanity platform continues to support various creative endeavors, exemplified by Rosen's successful creation of a portfolio site for painter Maria de los Angeles Rodriguez Jimenez, highlighting the ease of use and adaptability of Sanity Studio for both developers and non-technical users.
