RWX announces seed round and launch of a paradigm-shifting CI/CD platform
Blog post from RWX
RWX, founded in 2022 and supported by a $7 million seed round led by Quiet, has launched a CI/CD platform designed to address perceived limitations of conventional VM- and script-based systems, including unnecessary test execution, raw-log troubleshooting, and commit-and-push-dependent feedback loops. After initially developing products for flaky-test detection, test parallelization, and CI infrastructure, the company concluded that a new platform architecture was needed and built RWX around task-based directed acyclic graphs rather than static jobs. The platform uses content-based caching to avoid rerunning unchanged work, file filters to limit tasks to relevant code changes, structured semantic outputs to present test and lint results in a richer interface, a local CLI for running workflows before committing, and remote debugging capabilities for investigating failures on hosted infrastructure. RWX also supports dynamic task generation through a data API alongside static configuration, and includes common CI/CD capabilities such as scheduling, artifacts, secrets, parallel execution, environment variables, authentication, and third-party packages; early beta users included HubiFi and Visivo.
