With Agent Automation, Nobody Has to Start Root Cause Analysis by Hand
Blog post from Rollbar
Rollbar’s Agent Automation allows teams to configure project-level rules that automatically trigger Resolve, its AI agent, when new error occurrences meet chosen environment and severity criteria. Rules can request either a root cause analysis, which is added to the item, or a proposed fix pull request in a connected GitHub repository, though developers must review and merge all changes themselves. Each qualifying item receives only one automated run, including older unresolved items when they recur after a rule is created, while timelines identify the rule that initiated the analysis and notifications can report successful or failed runs. Rollbar recommends initially limiting automation to Error-level or higher production issues and using analysis-only mode before enabling fix PRs. GitHub integration and repository mapping are required, and analyses may be indeterminable when source control, repository mapping, or source maps are incomplete; account administrators can also disable AI features entirely.
