Usage Notifications
Blog post from Rollbar
Rollbar has introduced a new notification system for usage visibility, enhancing user awareness and control by sending alerts about critical usage milestones via email and Slack. The system includes a 'Notifications' button on the Rollbar usage page, leading to a panel with 'Email' and 'Slack' tabs where users can customize alerts for specific milestones, such as when usage reaches 80%, 90%, 95%, and 100% of the account’s allowance. The default setting is for the account owner's email to receive notifications, but up to ten additional email addresses can be added without needing to be linked to other Rollbar accounts, and emails can be easily removed. For Slack notifications, it is necessary to connect the Rollbar account to a Slack workspace and ensure the Rollbar Slack bot is a member of the desired channel. This upgrade is part of Rollbar's commitment to continuous improvement and user feedback is encouraged to further refine their services.
