Introducing Overage Budgets

Overage Budgets is a new feature designed to provide users with greater flexibility and control over on-demand billing, addressing concerns about surprise charges from usage spikes. Traditionally, on-demand billing allowed unlimited occurrences beyond plan limits, often leading to unexpected costs. The new feature categorizes on-demand events into three modes: Off, Budgeted, and Unlimited. In Off mode, occurrences are processed only within plan limits, while Budgeted mode allows users to set a monthly overage budget to avoid surprise bills during usage spikes. Unlimited mode offers continuous occurrences with automatic upgrades when necessary, ensuring uninterrupted service without manual plan changes. Additionally, the company has improved communication by upgrading its user interface and email notifications, ensuring users receive clear updates about their usage and spending. This initiative aims to enhance user experience by making cost management more predictable and transparent.
