Rollbar has significantly enhanced its Item List UI and Item Search API by overhauling the search backend, resulting in improved performance and accuracy. The updated system now allows for faster searches, particularly when date ranges are involved, and provides accurate item statistics that reflect occurrence-level filters. The new backend supports nearly all fields, including custom data and key-value pairs, making them indexed and searchable. Users can now quickly find top errors affecting specific URLs or email domains, filter on custom data, and perform searches across thousands of projects with billions of occurrences. Rollbar's search capabilities include case-insensitive prefix search by default, with options for case-sensitive exact matches and the use of wildcards. Additionally, the platform supports Saved Views for sharing complex searches and provides documentation for further customization and data addition.
