Welcoming Kiersti Esparza, our new Deliverability Engineer
Blog post from Resend
Resend has hired Kiersti Esparza as a Deliverability Engineer on its Trust & Safety Squad to help scale its email-sending infrastructure. Esparza brings nearly 20 years of experience in email operations and deliverability, including roles building teams at Marketo, leading consulting at Twilio, and working in deliverability engineering at Klaviyo. She describes deliverability as a continually evolving field that requires creative analysis, technical understanding, and adaptation to changing threats and authentication standards. Drawn to Resend’s developer-focused approach, infrastructure ambitions, and culture of transparency and partnership, she joins as an individual contributor working on foundational systems. Esparza also values the deliverability community and mentorship, enjoys travel, gardening, art, city planning, and woodworking, and advises aspiring operators to develop expertise in overlooked but essential infrastructure problems, where scarce knowledge can create significant leverage.
