The Headless Dashboard Initiative
Blog post from Resend
Resend has expanded its headless capabilities so that functions previously limited to its dashboard can increasingly be accessed through its API, CLI, MCP server, and SDKs, enabling developers, human operators, and agents to manage email operations programmatically. Recent additions include an Email Metrics API for deliverability and engagement reporting, webhook event management tools for inspecting, replaying, and securing deliveries, and APIs to cancel or duplicate broadcasts, share sent or received emails through expiring read-only links, duplicate automations as disabled drafts, rename segments and API keys, and analyze clicked links in broadcasts. These features support custom analytics dashboards, embedded customer experiences, automated operational workflows, and agent-based account management, while preserving the dashboard as an option for visual administration. Resend says it will continue working toward complete parity across interfaces and introduce more granular controls for areas such as API key provisioning, webhook filtering, and access scoping.
