Resend has introduced new features for its Contacts platform, enhancing personalization and segmentation capabilities. Users can now create custom contact properties, assign values via API or SDKs, and utilize these properties in broadcasts with fallback values for missing data. The platform also offers a new contact activity history view, providing a detailed timeline of events related to each contact. Contacts can now be part of multiple segments, previously known as Audiences, allowing for more flexible segmentation without duplicating entries. Additionally, the global contact model identifies contacts by their email address, offering a unified view of interactions and ensuring that contacts are counted only once across multiple segments. These updates aim to facilitate more personalized email communication and efficient contact management.
