Introducing Templates
Blog post from Resend
Resend is introducing a new feature called Templates, designed to enable teams to personalize emails efficiently by allowing members from various roles, such as designers and developers, to create and manage email templates using a modern email builder. The platform provides multiple ways to create templates, including through a dashboard, importing HTML or React Email code, or via an API, and stores all templates within Resend accounts. Templates can be personalized using variables that are replaced with actual values from contacts, supporting different data types and fallback values, and can be employed in various email fields. The system supports collaborative editing in real-time, versioning to track changes, and an easy publishing process that allows teams to update templates without code changes, especially useful during rebranding. Once templates are finalized and stored on Resend, users can send emails by simply passing the template ID and variables, streamlining the workflow between marketing and development teams and enabling faster, more cohesive operations.
