Announcing Resend Forge
Blog post from Resend
Resend has launched Resend Forge, its own Mail Transfer Agent infrastructure, after initially focusing on developer-facing email tools such as React Email, APIs, and dashboards. Forge replaces rented underlying infrastructure with Resend-owned and operated IP blocks, giving the company greater control over delivery paths, connection pooling, retries, queue durability, observability, and relationships with major mailbox providers. Hundreds of customers have reportedly sent more than 10 million emails through Forge, with data from the previous seven days showing faster median delivery times than Resend’s legacy infrastructure across Google, Yahoo, Outlook, and overall providers, while Apple performance was roughly unchanged. Resend also reports improved delivery acceptance rates at intervals from five seconds to three minutes. Existing customers can activate Forge by adding a CNAME DNS record, requiring no application code changes, although domains undergo verification and sender-reputation checks before onboarding.
