We Built a Deepfake Detection Bot for X, Because We All Deserve to Know What’s Real

By simply tagging the bot with the query "is this fake?" in response to a post, users receive a visualization and a confidence score indicating the likelihood of manipulation. Powered by Resemble AI's DETECT technology, known for top-ranking performance in independent benchmarks, the tool addresses the growing presence of synthetic media online, which spans a spectrum of authenticity from entirely AI-generated content to minor edits on genuine media. While @resemble_detect provides a means to verify content, it emphasizes the importance of consent, stating that the bot does not process explicit content or verify whether shared media was consensual.
