The New HPC-optimized AWS EC2 Instance based on AMD is Now Available on Rescale

Rescale has announced the integration of the latest HPC-optimized AWS EC2 instance, Hpc6a, into its platform under the coretype "Elm," enhancing its cloud-based high-performance computing solutions. The Hpc6a instance, featuring AMD's 3rd Gen EPYC processors, 96 cores, and advanced networking capabilities through AWS Elastic Fabric Adapter, offers significant improvements in price-performance compared to previous AWS compute-optimized instances. This development is expected to benefit diverse applications that require both high memory bandwidth and efficient scaling, such as CFD and structural FEA, and aims to support Rescale's customers in fields like autonomous vehicles, climate science, and drug discovery.
