Rescale Unveils ScaleX Government, the First Federally Compliant HPC Cloud Service

Rescale has launched ScaleX Government, the first entirely cloud-based high-performance computing (HPC) platform designed for the public sector, offering compliance with FedRAMP Moderate (In-Process) and ITAR standards. This development marks a significant milestone as it addresses the previous inaccessibility of cloud HPC for federal agencies and research institutions due to the lack of FedRAMP status. With support from the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL), part of the U.S. Department of Energy, Rescale has successfully entered the official FedRAMP Marketplace, allowing federal engineers, scientists, and researchers to transition from outdated IT infrastructure to modern, scalable cloud architectures. The cloud-based HPC service enables flexible scaling of workloads, reducing resource management delays and fostering improved research, faster outcomes, and more efficient spending, while maintaining a strong focus on security and compliance.
