Rescale Automates the Deployment of Ansys LS-DYNA and Ansys Fluent Workloads on Amazon EC2 Hpc7g Instances
Blog post from Rescale
Rescale has announced the availability of Ansys LS-DYNA and Ansys Fluent workloads on Amazon EC2 Hpc7g instances, which are powered by Arm-based AWS Graviton3E processors. These instances are designed to handle compute- and network-intensive high-performance computing (HPC) tasks, offering improved performance and energy efficiency due to their Arm architecture. The Rescale platform simplifies cloud-based HPC management with features like workflow automation, security measures, and the ability to pay only for used infrastructure, enabling users to focus on research rather than IT management. Hpc7g instances deliver significant performance and cost advantages over previous AWS Graviton generations, including up to 70% better performance and enhanced energy efficiency. Benchmarking tests on Ansys LS-DYNA and Ansys Fluent demonstrated notable speedups in computational performance and efficiency, benefiting from the advanced capabilities of AWS Graviton3E processors and DDR5 memory. Rescale's platform provides additional tools for optimizing and monitoring HPC workloads, further enhancing performance and scalability for demanding applications.
