Platform Updates and Software Release Notes – September 2020

Rescale now supports over 600 applications, showcasing several notable software tools that cater to different scientific and engineering needs. Among these are FreeFEM 4.6, a widely-used PDE solver for researchers; MedeA 3.1, a comprehensive materials design and simulation platform; and USGS COAWST, a modeling system developed by the U.S. Geological Survey to study coastal changes. Additionally, ESI Visual-Environment 16.0 offers an integrated environment for engineering simulations, while ESI ProCAST 2020.0 enhances casting quality for the foundry industry. OrcaFlex is highlighted for its dynamic analysis capabilities in offshore marine systems and its unique feature of functioning as a library for automation and integration with third-party software.
