Meet Rescale Edison, Your Engineering Partner
Blog post from Rescale
Rescale has renamed and expanded its integrated AI assistant as Rescale Edison, a platform-wide tool for engineering and administrative work that can retain private chat context, query authorized account data, create repeatable workflows, and route specialized tasks to CAE-focused agents. Available through the “Work with Edison” navigation feature, it can help users investigate failed jobs, search files and simulation outputs, build design-of-experiments processes, analyze spending, and access connected PLM or external knowledge repositories, while providing citations and a “Show Work” explanation of its reasoning. Edison can save exploratory processes as deterministic workflows with defined steps and optional agent nodes, while dedicated agents support activities such as input-deck validation, job troubleshooting, and report drafting. Administrative users can analyze billing and usage at scopes determined by their roles, including by project, workspace, user, or hardware type. Rescale states that Edison enforces existing permissions at query time, requires approval before making changes, does not use customer data or prompts to train AI models, and protects data through logical separation, encryption, monitoring, and safety guardrails, though users are advised to verify its results.
