Retro Diffusion's pixel art models are now on Replicate
Blog post from Replicate
Retro Diffusion has introduced a set of pixel art models for creating retro game graphics, which are now available on the Replicate platform. These models—rd-fast, rd-plus, rd-tile, and rd-animation—are specifically designed for generating grid-aligned, limited-palette pixel art, offering style presets that support various features such as arbitrary dimensions, input images, and seamless tiling. Each model serves a unique purpose: rd-fast is optimized for speed with 15 styles for quick image generation, rd-plus provides high-quality text-to-image transformations for scenes and icons, rd-tile focuses on creating tilesets and scene objects, and rd-animation generates animated sprites compatible with game engines. The models can be accessed using Python, JavaScript, and other languages via Replicate’s SDKs, showcasing the collaborative effort of Atropulse, nerijs, and the Retro Diffusion team.
