Render Redis®*

Render has announced the General Availability of its managed Redis service, allowing users to easily set up a Redis instance, which is a popular open-source, in-memory key-value store known for high throughput and low latency, ideal for caching and queueing tasks. By offering Redis, Render aims to save engineering time and address the top user-requested service by handling reliability, security, and operational aspects. The service includes features such as a connection URL, CLI access, infrastructure-as-code support, a metrics dashboard, and customizable eviction policies. Early Access users have praised the simplicity of setup and the ability to focus on developing their products without managing infrastructure. Render Redis has been used for caching, background job processing, and managing rate limits, among other tasks. Users can try the service for free and upgrade to paid plans for additional resources, with guides available for specific frameworks like Ruby's Sidekiq and Python's Celery.
