Lower Bandwidth Pricing on Render

Render is set to reduce its bandwidth pricing from $30 to $15 per 100 GB starting August 1, 2025, while also expanding its billing to include additional types of outbound traffic such as service-initiated and WebSocket traffic. This change aligns with industry standards and provides users with enhanced visibility into their bandwidth usage through detailed metrics available on the Render dashboard from July 1, 2025. The majority of customers, approximately 99%, will experience reduced or unchanged costs, particularly those with client-facing bandwidth, while a small portion with high service-initiated or WebSocket traffic may see an increase. To support affected customers, Render is offering personalized assistance, tools, and resources, including AWS PrivateLink support for secure connections and bill credits for those facing significant cost increases. Render aims to alleviate infrastructure concerns, allowing users to focus on app development and customer satisfaction.
