A New Log Explorer and HTTP Logs
Blog post from Render
Render has introduced two new logging features to enhance the debugging and diagnosis of service issues: a revamped Log Explorer and automatic HTTP request logs for team accounts. The Log Explorer, accessible from the Render Dashboard, offers text search, label-based filters, and a jump-to-context feature to provide a chronological view of logs, aiding in quickly identifying the root causes of issues. Meanwhile, the automatic HTTP request logs include a unique requestID, enabling users to trace the execution of requests through the log explorer. These logs can also be forwarded to third-party providers like Datadog for advanced metrics reporting, allowing users to visualize HTTP request data by various fields such as status code and host. These enhancements aim to streamline the debugging process, making it faster and more efficient, while Render continues to improve its logging capabilities to support developers in maintaining robust cloud services.
