Engineering Den: Ship in style with Redpanda terminal themes

Redpanda has introduced official terminal color schemes in both dark and light variants, designed specifically for terminal users. The dark theme features a warm, reddish-brown background with red and orange accents, while the light version offers a soft parchment base with darker accents for better daytime readability. Both themes ensure that greens, blues, and cyans remain distinct for syntax highlighting and diffs. These configurations are compatible with various terminals, including Ghostty, iTerm2, Windows Terminal, Alacritty, Kitty, and WezTerm. The themes were generated using AI by feeding the Redpanda brand palette and a detailed prompt to Claude, resulting in vibrant, brand-aligned color schemes. Users can easily install these themes with copy-paste instructions available in the repository, which also allows for customization under the Apache 2.0 license.
