RLEC 4.2.1 Brings More Granular Controls to High Availability and Performance

Redis Enterprise Cluster (RLEC) has recently released its 4.2.1 version, which includes several enhancements and features requested by customers. The new release introduces the "Replica of" feature, allowing users to define a database as a replica of another, enabling distributed read load management and one-time synchronization capabilities. Additionally, cross-region/cloud replication over WAN is now supported with traffic compression, and multiple source databases can be defined for a single destination database. Other notable features include support for multiple IPs per node, IPv6 address types, improved AOF rewrite mechanism, and the introduction of environment profiles to optimize performance in various environments. These updates aim to provide better security, scalability, and high-availability assurance for Redis Enterprise Cluster users.
