Redis OSS Is Now Available on AWS Marketplace
Blog post from Redis
Redis has released an official AWS Marketplace listing for Redis OSS 8.2, providing a Redis-published Amazon Machine Image based on Ubuntu 24.04 that organizations can launch directly on Amazon EC2. The offering targets teams that want to self-manage Redis infrastructure while using a familiar enterprise procurement channel, with Redis supplying extended support for up to five years, including maintenance, vulnerability scanning, security patches, and fixes for newly identified CVEs. Redis OSS supports low-latency uses such as caching, session management, real-time analytics, and queues, while the Marketplace listing gives engineering, security, and procurement teams clearer publisher, product, and version information. Customers retain responsibility for their EC2 environment, Redis configuration, topology, monitoring, backups, and security settings, although Redis manages the published version and patches. The listing expands Redis’s AWS Marketplace portfolio alongside Redis Cloud, its managed service, and Redis Software (Redis Enterprise), its self-managed enterprise product, and may allow eligible Marketplace spending to count toward AWS commitments depending on contract terms.
