Garantia Data recently conducted a benchmark test to compare small-to-medium size Redis and Memcached datasets running on different AWS instances and platforms. The test aimed to optimize performance by considering architectural alternatives, such as instance selection and service usage. The results showed that using Garantia Data's Redis Cloud and Memcached Cloud services outperformed ElastiCache and Stand-alone Redis in terms of throughput and latency, with the latter experiencing significant performance degradation due to shared physical servers and weaker processing power. The unique architecture of Garantia Data's services, which includes monitoring command response times and resharding datasets on-the-fly, ensures minimal interference between users and optimal performance for users of any dataset size. As a result, users can enjoy high-performance and pay only for their actual GB used on an hourly basis.
