Introducing Haink: Redis’ applied AI agent

Haink is a production-grade AI agent developed by Redis to assist its teams in navigating the rapidly evolving AI landscape and demonstrating Redis' unique value in various applications. Built from scratch using Redis and AWS, Haink acts as an expert teammate, providing real-time code examples, architectural recommendations, and reasoning-based answers by leveraging Redis' internal knowledge base and real-time data capabilities. Its architecture integrates Slack for user interactions, ECS Fargate for orchestration, and AWS Bedrock for large language model inference, while Redis Cloud supports memory and vector data management. This setup enables Haink to maintain both short and long-term memory, facilitating natural, context-aware interactions. Haink serves not only as an internal tool but also as a model for deploying scalable AI agents using Redis, Python, and robust engineering practices, with plans for future enhancements including multimodal inputs and expanded enterprise integrations.
