Red5 Pro's Experience Delivery Network (XDN) introduces a new functionality through its Mixer nodes, allowing for the creation of mixed live streams combining audio and video from multiple sources. This capability supports dynamic real-time updates and large compositions involving hundreds of streams, utilizing a visual layout defined via HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Mixers are equipped with a mix-minus audio engine to enhance video conferencing by preventing audio feedback, ensuring participants receive only the audio of others. The Mixer nodes can be chained for complex compositions and can interface with backend services for real-time layout adjustments. Use cases range from small to large audio and video mixes, efficient video conferencing, branded content streaming to third-party platforms, and composite video on demand (VOD) recordings. The XDN Mixer enhances Red5 Pro's offerings by facilitating bandwidth-efficient conferences, large-scale stream combinations, and branded live stream management, with deployment possible across various cloud platforms and data centers, monitored by Stream Managers to ensure optimal performance.
