In response to an increase in remote employees at ReadMe due to global events, a need for social interaction led to the creation of a "Virtual Water Cooler" meeting to combat feelings of isolation. While some employees are comfortable working from home, others miss the social aspects of office life, prompting one employee to invite colleagues for a virtual gathering to chat about work and personal topics. Initially met with minimal reactions, the event quickly gained traction, growing to nine participants who shared sanity tips for remote work, such as maintaining routines, setting boundaries, reaching out to others, taking breaks, and engaging with pets. This initiative highlights the importance of fostering community and support among remote workers.
