ReadMe is introducing a major update called Staging for ReadMe Enterprise, designed to enhance how large companies manage and publish documentation. This feature allows customers on the highest plan to make changes in a staging environment, ensuring that all content is approved, previewed, and published simultaneously, addressing a significant pain point for users. The new Enterprise Staging Dashboard provides admins with immediate visibility of all project changes, including content, appearance, and settings, before deploying them live. This capability prevents premature publication and allows comprehensive project updates, such as CSS adjustments or new feature documentation, to be thoroughly vetted. Additionally, customers can now control when to upgrade to the latest version of ReadMe, mitigating risks associated with changes that could affect custom CSS or Javascript. Along with the staging feature, a detailed changelog is provided for both project changes and ReadMe updates to give users a complete understanding of what each deployment entails.
