Summary

Railway’s October 21, 2026 security incident temporarily halted new deployments, and although deployments have resumed, services with commits pushed during the outage may require a manual deployment because those commits were not queued. Recovery-related deployment failures can also result from revoked GitHub connections, API tokens, and CLI sessions. Users deploying through GitHub should reconnect their account, verify the Railway GitHub App’s repository access, reconnect the repository in service settings, and redeploy the latest commit; team projects may require the original repository connector to restore access. Users deploying through the Railway CLI must log out and back in before linking and deploying, while CI users must create replacement project, account, or workspace tokens and update their CI secrets. If failures persist, Railway support requests project, service, environment, failed deployment ID, build-log error, and deployment method details.
