Discourse offers advantages like public accessibility without an account, strong search engine indexing, and a focus on structured, discoverable content, making it a better fit for fostering a thriving developer community. While QuestDB will continue to maintain its presence on Slack for those who prefer it, Discourse is seen as a strategic move to enhance community growth and support.
