QuestDB 9.1: Precision, Profiling, and Power
Blog post from QuestDB
QuestDB 9.1 is an open-source time-series database designed for high-demand workloads, offering ultra-low latency and high ingestion throughput with a multi-tier storage engine. The latest release introduces features like nanosecond timestamps, continuous profiling, auto-scaling symbol maps, and improved JOIN operations, enhancing precision, performance, and system visibility. The nanosecond precision is ideal for applications requiring high-frequency data tracking, while continuous profiling integrates the Async Profiler for easier performance analysis without external setup. Auto-scaling symbol maps address ingestion bottlenecks by dynamically adjusting capacity, and the JOIN improvements expand query capabilities, supporting all types and improving ASOF JOIN performance. Additional updates include new SQL functions, optimized list evaluations, and enhanced stability across the engine, making QuestDB one of the most complete and performant time-series databases for temporal analytics.
