The Future of Qovery - Week #1

The upcoming major release of Qovery will eliminate the .qovery.yml file, which was initially intended to simplify app deployment by allowing developers to configure applications with ease. However, the file's limitations have led to challenges such as difficulty configuring applications through the web console, inability to manage multiple apps from the same repository, and lack of support for monorepositories. By removing the .qovery.yml file, Qovery aims to enhance user experience by enabling app configuration via its web console, allowing multiple deployments from the same repository, and supporting monorepositories, addressing the needs of over 40% of its users. Though the .qovery.yml might be supported in the future for "Infrastructure as Code" purposes, for now, Qovery invites user feedback on these changes through their Discord community.
