Summary

Qovery’s 2026 architecture separates a hosted control plane, which stores configuration and determines required actions, from an open-source Rust-based Qovery Engine that executes infrastructure and deployment work in customers’ cloud accounts or Kubernetes clusters. The engine orchestrates established tools including Terraform or OpenTofu, Helm, Kubernetes, BuildKit, and cloud CLIs to provision managed Kubernetes clusters and supporting components such as networking, ingress, certificates, autoscaling, secrets integration, and observability tooling across AWS, GCP, Azure, Scaleway, self-managed clusters, and on-premises environments. During deployments, it can build container images in parallel within the customer’s cluster, skip builds for existing images, deploy services as atomic Helm releases, monitor health, and automatically roll back failed releases while supporting cancellation. Beyond application workloads, Qovery supports catalog-based Blueprints for managed services, read-only cluster analysis for resource recommendations and deprecated APIs, and agentic workflows that run AI agents as Kubernetes jobs under network and access restrictions. The platform emphasizes customer ownership of infrastructure, short-lived credentials, secret masking, detailed logs and metrics, and continued workload operation even if Qovery’s control plane becomes unavailable.
