Environment variables and Secrets - The Future of Qovery - Week #6
Blog post from Qovery
The upcoming major release of Qovery introduces enhanced management of environment variables and a new feature called Secret Management, aimed at improving user experience and data security for applications. Environment variables will be easier to manage through the web interface while maintaining the existing scope system, which categorizes variables into four levels: BUILT_IN, PROJECT, ENVIRONMENT, and APPLICATION. Secret Management ensures sensitive information, like Stripe billing details, remains secure and immutable by encrypting secrets that cannot be revealed or modified once set. Qovery will handle the injection of these environment variables and secrets during build time, deployment, and runtime. The release is anticipated with excitement, and interested users are invited to join the beta testing phase in early June by contacting the team on Discord.
