Building a Reliable and Scalable Infrastructure: Partoo's Journey with Qovery
Blog post from Qovery
Partoo, a SaaS company focused on enhancing businesses' customer journeys, transitioned from Heroku to Qovery due to performance issues and lack of support from Heroku. The migration was driven by the need for improved infrastructure management, particularly to address CPU consumption issues that caused significant application downtimes. After evaluating various alternatives like Scalingo, Render, DigitalOcean, and AWS Elastic Beanstalk, they found Qovery to be the optimal solution, aligning with their AWS infrastructure and long-term Kubernetes transition goals. The migration process involved extensive testing and configuration adjustments, including the redevelopment of timezone-aware cron tasks. Post-migration, Partoo experienced significant benefits such as improved API speed through autoscaling, enhanced flexibility with AWS and Kubernetes, and reliable support from Qovery, which contrasts sharply with their previous experience with Heroku. Looking ahead, Partoo is developing Project Nebula to leverage Qovery's API for creating customized test clusters, aiming to enhance the developer experience by allowing bespoke review environments for development and testing.
