The "Auto" mode intelligently directs pull requests to the appropriate review tier based on the nature of the changes, ensuring efficient resource use without compromising review quality. This system aims to optimize the balance between review quality, speed, and cost, adapting to the evolving landscape of AI-driven code changes by allowing platform teams to set policies that reflect their specific operational needs. Through the research preview, Qodo is testing the effectiveness of these modes across various codebases to refine their routing policies and ensure consistent and appropriate review decisions.
