The concept of "Shift-left code integrity" involves integrating testing and correctness checks earlier in the development pipeline, while "Expand-right code integrity" entails extending developer responsibilities to include integration testing and system context. Together, these concepts form the "Shift-Left-Expand-Right code integrity," a necessary approach for managing the complexity of modern software systems and ensuring comprehensive testing and review processes.
