Integrithon – a New Marathon for Developers’ Code Integrity
Blog post from Qodo
Hackathons, bugathons, and testathons are collaborative events where tech-savvy individuals gather to innovate, solve problems, and improve software quality. Hackathons focus on developing new applications quickly, allowing participants to explore creative ideas with less emphasis on code quality. Bugathons prioritize identifying and fixing existing software bugs, making them inclusive events that enhance code quality and foster team excitement, especially during major releases. Testathons, resembling hackathons for testers, concentrate on understanding and verifying application functionality through testing. A newer event, the Integrithon, emphasizes improving code integrity by having developers perform unit tests and enhance code quality, ultimately presenting their work to judges who evaluate the improvements. These events promote learning, creativity, and problem-solving, contributing to better software products.
