Context continuity with Qodo Gen’s new chat history

Qodo Gen, formerly known as Codiumate, is an AI-powered IDE plugin designed to facilitate the writing, testing, and reviewing of code, now enhanced with a new chat history feature. This feature allows users to store up to 20 recent conversations, enabling them to resume interactions without losing context, which is particularly beneficial for handling complex development tasks that require continuity and reference to past exchanges. By maintaining context across multiple chat threads, the chat history feature improves the relevance and accuracy of AI recommendations and serves as a valuable learning resource by allowing users to access past interactions for insights and code snippets. Although it currently has limitations such as conversations not being preserved between sessions, Qodo Gen is working on expanding these capabilities to include persistent storage and extended history capacity.
