Pusher recently overhauled its blog and tutorial pages to enhance user experience and streamline content management. The revamp involved consolidating multiple content management systems into a single, more efficient setup using Gatsby for the main site and Strapi for the blog and tutorials, while retaining Markdown files on GitHub for documentation. This shift from a fragmented CMS approach to a centralized system aimed to improve readability, searchability, and internal processes for handling technical content. The redesign also included a visual and functional update, guided by user feedback, to improve the reading and browsing experience. Additionally, server-side generation was employed for better page load times and efficient client-side filtering. The transition was facilitated by a well-documented API and careful content migration, resulting in a more coherent and maintainable website architecture that allows for faster development and better content delivery.
