Meet the new Debug Console in Portal
Blog post from PubNub
PubNub Portal’s new Debug Console replaces the legacy Playground and provides a unified administrative interface for testing and debugging a real keyset. It supports session-based authentication using root permissions or Access Manager tokens, optional encryption, shared channels and channel groups across tabs, and visibility into the active JavaScript SDK version. Users can subscribe to channels, channel groups, or wildcards; publish messages with configurable delivery and storage options; inspect live events, Presence, files, metadata, and message actions; and receive prompts when required services are disabled. The tool also enables Presence queries and state editing, channel group creation and maintenance, retrieval of persisted message history, Access Manager token generation, parsing, and revocation, and file listing, uploading, downloading, and deletion where File Sharing is enabled. Users can access it through PubNub Portal under Build → Debug Console, select an app and keyset, and begin with Live Log or Access Manager based on their debugging needs.
