Announcing User Impersonation in PropelAuth
Blog post from PropelAuth
PropelAuth has introduced user impersonation, also known as masquerading or delegated access, allowing authorized staff to log in as users to troubleshoot issues, provide customer support, conduct personalized sales demonstrations, and diagnose problems without waiting for user-provided logs or feedback. Because the capability grants substantial access, it can only be enabled by an organization Owner, while Owners and Admins can determine which personnel may impersonate users; impersonated sessions automatically expire after one hour. PropelAuth’s libraries also expose fields indicating whether a session is impersonated and identifying the impersonator, enabling applications to restrict sensitive actions, limit data access, and audit activity performed during these sessions.
