Are There Solutions That Offer an In-App Marketplace for Integrations?
Blog post from Prismatic
Embedded iPaaS platforms enable SaaS companies to offer native, self-service integration marketplaces without building custom infrastructure or relying on enterprise iPaaS tools designed for internal IT workflows. Unlike static directories or link-out portals, embedded marketplaces allow customers to discover, authenticate, configure, activate, and manage integrations entirely within a product’s branded interface. This approach evolved from support-led, manually deployed integrations toward productized integrations that customers can activate independently, reflecting expectations shaped by platforms such as Salesforce AppExchange and Shopify’s App Store. Examples including QoreAI, Hatch, and Karbon suggest that embedded marketplaces can speed activation, support sales visibility, and expand integration catalogs without proportionally increasing engineering or support staff. The model can reduce deployment and maintenance costs by allowing teams to build integrations once with configurable options rather than handling each customer installation as a separate project, and it becomes especially relevant when integration requests, support workload, and competitive pressure are increasing.
